Chicago Style Closing Party: Causing A Stir

  • South Shore Cultural Center (map)

Together with Causing a Stir, we recreate Chicago South Side institution The Palm Tavern. Opened in 1933 by one-time Pullman Porter ‘Genial Jim’ Knight, and later owned by Gerri Oliver, The Palm Tavern was a ‘must do’ performance stop for the the who’s who of American Jazz performers; Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie all performed on The Palm stage.

Bring your best look for a night of cocktails and live music inspired by this legendary Chicago club!
